Welcome to Zippy Invoices! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the  zippyinvoices.com  website and our invoice generation software (the "Service"). By accessing or using Zippy Invoices, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.


1. Description of Service


Zippy Invoices provides a lightweight, local-storage-based PDF invoice generator designed for freelancers and small businesses. We provide the software to format and generate the PDF; we do not send the invoices on your behalf, nor do we process invoice payments from your clients.


2. Subscriptions and Payments


  • Fees: Access to our premium generator features requires a monthly subscription fee.
  • Billing Cycle: Your subscription will automatically renew each month unless canceled. You authorise us (through our third-party payment processor, e.g., Stripe) to charge the payment method on file for the recurring subscription fee.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current paid billing cycle. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months of service.
  • Price Changes: We reserve the right to modify our pricing. If we do, we will provide you with at least 30 days' advance notice.


3. The "Local Storage" Disclaimer & Data Loss


This is a core feature of our Service: Zippy Invoices relies entirely on your device’s local browser storage to save your business profile, client details, and itemised lists. * We do not back up your generated invoices or your business configurations to a cloud server.

  • If you clear your browser’s cache, uninstall your browser, or switch to a different device, your saved data will be reset.
  • Limitation of Liability for Data: You agree that Zippy Invoices is not a data storage or backup service. We are not responsible or liable for any lost invoices, lost data, or the inability to access previously generated PDFs. You are solely responsible for saving and backing up the PDF files you generate.


4. Tax and Legal Compliance


Zippy Invoices provides a formatting tool, not financial or legal advice.

  • Your Responsibility: You are entirely responsible for ensuring that the invoices you generate comply with the legal and tax requirements of your specific jurisdiction (e.g., HMRC in the UK).
  • No Accounting Liability: We make no warranties that our standard invoice template meets the specific legal invoicing requirements of every country, state, or tax authority.


5. Acceptable Use


You agree to use Zippy Invoices only for lawful business purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to generate fraudulent, illegal, or deceptive invoices.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our software.
  • Share your account login credentials with third parties or resell access to your subscription.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or interact with the Service.


6. Intellectual Property


  • Our Rights: We own all rights, title, and interest in and to the Zippy Invoices website, software, code, logos, and design. You may not copy or reuse our branding or code without our explicit permission.
  • Your Rights: You retain all ownership rights to the specific business data, logos, and content you input into the generator.


7. Disclaimer of Warranties


Zippy Invoices is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no guarantees that the Service will be entirely uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.


8. Limitation of Liability


To the maximum extent permitted by applicable UK law, Zippy Invoices and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages—including loss of profits, loss of revenue, or loss of data—resulting from your use of the Service. In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the total amount you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.


9. Governing Law


These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts of England.
